This accomplishes several things with the first being allowing the 3-5HP that a mechanical pump uses to be delivered to the wheels. Secondly it is much easier to upgrade in electric fuel pump in the event that you move to, or from, EFI at a later date. Lastly the absence of one additional fuel line running from the pump to the carb helps build a cleaner engine room. |

Doing the break in on the Dyno allows the engine to have load applied to it an a way that cannot be achieved on a test stand. This ensures that all components seat properly under controlled loads without the danger of (for instance) glazing the cylinders which can prevent the rings from ever properly seating. Lastly You get a printout of the actual Dyno run of YOUR ENGINE so you will know exactly what horsepower your money bought. |
